Surprisingly, the chapel is one of the most «recent» buildings in the park. On the death of Mr. Im-off in 1939, the estate was inhabited by his wife for a few years. In 1947, she resolves to sell it in life to the Cachat family. Being very religious and practicing, one of the conditions of life is the construction of a chapel. René Cachat is a carpenter, so he made it all in wood. The chapel, dedicated to Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus was inaugurated in 1949. This chapel was used several years, a priest then lived in Merlet in the summer.
